Our prime purose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them at least don’t hurt them. ~ Dalai Lama
We practice yoga to be kinder more compassionate people and make the world a better place. That’s what karma yoga is all about.
‘Seva’ is a sanskrit word which means selfless service. It’s one of the ways we can practice karma yoga. You don’t have to be a millionaire to make a difference. You can offer your time or any amount of money to an organization that does great work for a cause you believe in.
Other simple ways to practice seva are; buying everyday products you use from conscious cruelty free companies with integrity, eating more plant based food and support local farmers.
Below are some organizations I volunteer at, donate to or support with dollars:

I have been a fan of yin for years and I especially loved Steph’s class. She gives excellent instructions and the cadence, rhythm and quality of her voice is so beautiful- it really helped me go into an alpha brain wave and connect to my body and energy.

Stephanie’s yoga class got me out of my head and grounded. Helped to relieve the performance anxiety I was feeling from the father of the groom speech I have to give at the wedding.

Perfect Sunday morning class. Simple enough for a beginner, yet still satisfying for someone more advanced. Great way to wake up and she was just a lovely teacher.
