On 08-08-2015 I lead a 1-day restorative retreat at the Keys Creek Lavender Farm in Valley Center, San Diego. I picked this day because it intuitively called out to me and I have a strong connection with the number 8. It turned out to be an auspicious day linked to the Lion’s Gate of Love. It was also during the Venus Retrograde, making it the perfect day to slow down, get quiet and connect to your heart. So the theme was to align with the heart to get in touch with the things you love and value since early on and accept and love all parts of yourself however ugly it might be. It was also a great day to align with abundance, both material and spiritual.
Even if it is just one day out of your life, it makes a huge difference to take time for yourself and retreat. These pauses to connect with and nurture your soul give you so much clarity and keep you flowing with life not swim against the current. The day couldn’t have been more perfect and everyone truly enjoyed himself or herself. The weather was perfect, we had delicious healthy vegetarian meal, put temporary tattoos, restored with restorative yoga, did a walking meditation in the labyrinth, learned about how the lavender essential oils are made as well as the different types of essential oils, shopped at the gift store full of wonderful lavender products, and be present with nature. We used the mason jar I personalized and gifted as a favor to make it an eco-friendly event. Everything went smoothly and on time that we even had some time to dip our feet in the salt water pool to socialize and reflect on the day. It was also harvest season so there were lavender bunches hung everywhere to dry. So during the restorative yoga practice, we got the amazing scent above us in addition to the lavender oil that was incorporated into the practice. There were many stories of miracles and clarity from the experience after we got back.
Hope you’ll enjoy the photos I’m sharing here from the retreat. Hope you’ll get to join me the next time. In the mean time, just remember to take some time to pause, takes some deep breathes and do something to make your heart sing. “Go Within & Find Your Inner Sparkle!”
Love, peace & light be with you. Namaste! xo
