Aloha yogis! How is your summer been so far? I recently went on a vacation to Hawaii with my family and finally got to try surfing for the first time. It’s been on my bucket list for a while now. I was amazed that I got up the first try. It was easier than I thought to get up because of yoga along with a push from the instructor and good instructions. Yoga works all the muscles and organs in the body therefore preparing it for all other types of sports. The body is also less prone to injuries as well. Also, I was the only one of the group who wasn’t as sore the next day. Of course taking relaxing deep breaths is key. The surfing instructor told me that all pro surfers practice yoga. So keep practicing on a regular basis and you will definitely see results.
Summer is my favorite season. Everything feels lighter, brighter and lively. Lots of changes are happening as I gear up for the summer solstice but even the misfortunes are aligning me to my divine path. So I’m just going with the flow of life as I learned to flow with the waves while surfing in Hawaii. Happy summer solstice! Set good intentions on this longest day of the year (on June 21st). May all your dreams come true! Namaste!!!
