I’m so touched by the thoughtful testimonial written by my corporate yoga student, Cristina. I’m humbled and grateful that she took the time out of her busy schedule to write so much more than just the 1 sentence I was expecting. So I thought I needed to show the whole testimonial as a blog instead of just putting an excerpt in the testimonial section. This is why I do what I do. Even if I can make one person’s day better I’ve fulfilled my soul’s purpose. Thank you!
I’ve taken yoga classes with Stephanie for several years. She is a caring and competent instructor, and I always leave her classes feeling restored in both mind and body. Here are some other things I appreciate about Stephanie and her yoga classes:
- Her classes give balanced attention to both the body and the mind.
- Stephanie does not push. I’ve taken classes with other instructions who try to push you outside of the natural and healthy limitations of your body. Stephanie, however, works with you at your own level and with your unique body.
- Stephanie is receptive to the needs and requests of class members and tailors her classes accordingly.
- When I suffered from an injury (NOT related to yoga, mind you), Stephanie was very concerned about my well-being. Not only that, I still felt welcome in her classes even though I could only participate in a very marginal capacity. I value that she allowed me to simply “be” in her classes, when most of the time we all feel pressure to “do.”
- Stephanie brings extra-special touches to her classes – like distributing essential oils and placing tea lights throughout the room – that enhance the class experience.
- Like the classic fable about the turtle and the hare, Stephanie and her yoga classes truly embody the spirit of the turtle – a “slow and steady” approach to physical and mental well-being. She is dependable and invested in what she does — working with you at a healthy pace and with a whole person approach.
